C-505 Advanced Courtroom Testimony (on site instruction course)

This two day course is designed to enhance a chemist's testimony skills through practical exercises and a thorough review of chemist related legal & scientific topics such as:  testifying to the identification of controlled substance analogs; differences in evidence admissibility hearings; use of different types of demonstrative evidence; serving as an advisory witness; the use of defense expert witnesses and how to evaluate their qualifications and testimony; and tactics used by both prosecutors and defense attorneys. The course covers all levels of court proceedings and is designed to include class participant-based issues discussed during training. The course is open to all levels of experience for government employed forensic chemists.
